Adebimpe Adebambo

Adebimpe Adebambo studied Painting at the Yaba College of Technology, Lagos, Nigeria. She is a self taught fashion and accessories designer and creative director at Beampeh—an urban African ready-to-wear label. Her work is concerned with environmental sustainability, fair trade and recycling. She is also an emerging filmmaker who debuted as a costume designer on Nigerian filmmaker and director; Tunde Kelani s award-winning 2014 film Dazzling Mirage. She garnered for her debut effort, two nominations in 2015 at two of Africa’s most prestigious film awards—Africa Magic Viewers Choice Award (AMVCA) and African Movie Academy Award (AMAA) for Best Costume Designer and Achievement in Costume Design, respectively. Due to her great love for animation, in 2017, she scripted, produced and directed an animated short film; Tejumade. Adebimpe is also working on a full color illustrated storybook with the same title for children. She intends formally studying Film with a special leaning towards animation, art direction and directing. With her love for writing and sharing inspiring stories, she has contributed to several online platforms and magazines and owns a blog, Asikobeampeh.
