Anton Deshawn

Anton Deshawn is an African American director, screenwriter and producer, who currently resides in Illinois. Anton graduated from Columbia College Chicago with a B.A. degree in Arts, Entertainment & Media Management. In 2014, he co-founded a film production company by the name of ILL-HIO Films, LLC with Rahim Branch. His film feature debut, Call Center, was released in 2017 and premiered at film festivals in Chicago, Atlanta and Los Angeles. Anton won a Black Excellence Award (Outstanding Achievement in Film – Directing) given by the African American Arts Alliance of Chicago for his directing work for Call Center. In late 2021, he released the short film, The Untold Story of Mild Sauce. The film was officially selected for the American Black Film Festival (ABFF), Black Harvest Film Festival, Gary International Film Festival (Winner -Best Regional Short Film), Houston Comedy Film Festival (Winner – Best Mockumentary), LA Indies and Green Lit ATL. Anton is currently working on a feature film version of The Untold Story of Mild Sauce.
