Cheikh Djemai

Cheikh Djemaï, Franco-Algerian director, first flirted with the theater. During ten years spent at the Amandiers de Nanterre theater, he rubs shoulders with the greatest directors: Pierre Debauche, Antoine Vitez, Patrice Chéreau, Roger Planchon, Daniel Mesguish, Andrzej Wajda ... He finally chooses the image, a way that allows him to to express his revolts, his passions, his doubts, his hopes. After collaborating on various programs and television magazines, he began making more personal films. His films have been selected and dedicated in many festivals around the world.
