Filipe Henriques

Filipe Henriques was born in the city of Bissau, capital of Guinea - Bissau on the 24 July 1979. At the age of 18, he was forced to leave his homeland due to armed conflict He attended high school at Taborda (Guinea-Bissau) and at Padre Alberto Neto (Portgual). In 2001,he joined Lusofona University in Lisbon, where he took a degree in film, video and multimedia communication, through which he had the opportunity to perform several projects at a professional level. From 2006 to April 2013, Filipe Henriques worked for Plural Entertainment as a Sound Designer. He was the sound designer of several soap operas, such as 'Meu Amor' (My Love), winner of the 2010 EMMY for best international fiction. With his 12 year career as a Director and Scriptwriter, he adds in his curriculum a feature film, 5 short films and several music videos among other projects.
