Mansur K. Rashid

Mansur K. Rashid is an award winning film director, producer, writer, editor, and photographer. He has a completed short film under his belt that s been selected into 17 film festivals and has another short film in post-production. Mansur is a twin, Leo, the son to two amazing Howard University Alum, and a proud Junior of Howard University. He is currently seeking a Bachelor in TV & Film with a minor in Photography. Mansur has been developing his artistic passions since the age of five. Mansur has traveled the world (14+ countries) and spent majority of his childhood (10 years) overseas in Dubai, UAE. In high school he spent 6 weeks in the mountains of Indonesia teaching village youth English. Most recently he s studied film for a semester at FAMU in Prague which resulted in directing a 16mm short film. Four of his photographs have been displayed in Gallery 1280 at Atlanta s Woodruff Arts Center in Midtown. He was the creator and co-curator of a photography exhibition at NYU in Abu Dhabi starring Howard University photographers works. Mansur was the student photographer (2 years) for the BET sponsored and May Sister Entertainment created Howardwood event at Howard University. He also holds two Howard University School of Communications Paul Robeson Awards: one for Creative Excellence in Photojournalism & another for Editing in a Film.
