Anisia Uzeyman

ANISIA UZEYMAN - actress, playwright and director was born in Rwanda. She studied drama at the Superior School of Theater in France. Anisia has written and directed four plays, and has worked in contemporary theater with major authors such as, Sofie Kokaj, Xavier Durringer, Kossi Effoui and Robin Orlyn. She also worked as an actress for the directors Florent Siri, Emmanuel Finkiel, Guetty Felin, Frederic Danos, Laurence Garret and Charles Najman. Anisia starred in the award winning film “ Tey/Aujourd’hui ” by Alain Gomis (L Etalon D Or, FESPACO) and most recently in the feature “Ayiti mon amour “ by Guetty Felin (premiered at TIFF 2016). Her directorial debut, the feature film DREAMSTATES , premiered in official selection at the L.A Independent Film Festival on June 3rd 2016. Anisia has also recently directed music videos for Sons Of An Illustrious Father ’s “Opposite Of Love”, Saul Williams “The Noise Came From Here” and Mehdi Cayenne’s “Rivière”. She lives between Paris and Los Angeles.
