Desmond Levi Jackson, is a radical writer and director from New York invested in crafting African-centered stories in the action and horror genres. While based in Los Angeles, Desmond has participated in the 2019 Academy Gold program, the 2021 Facebook Seen Program and was one of the 10 selected emerging filmmakers for the 2022 Deutsche Bank Frieze Los Angeles Film Fellowship. His short films have garnered recognition across several film festivals. His horror film “Wolves” was lauded Best Low Budget Short at the Long Island Scared for Your LIIFE Film Festival and his action short “Beaten But Not Broken” was an award winner at the Black Truth Film Festival.
