Hailed by the Toronto Star in 2022 as part of the Reelworld festival 'the next big names of tomorrow' Ivan Madeira's debut feature 'Pattern' has played at the Reelworld Film Festival where he won Outstanding Feature Film Producer, won best feature at Roxbury International Film Festival in Boston and was nominated for best feature at the British Urban Film Festival in London. Ivan has been working as an independent producer and filmmaker since 2009, with his debut dramatic short film 'Grow Up' Mental Health charity CALM officially supported the film, which led it to be featured at BUFF, Cannes Short Film Corner, and on UK television (BBC iPlayer, Together TV). He went on to direct several other shorts and documentaries, featuring in festivals and distributed on Apple TV and Bohemian Europhia as well as music video campaigns for charities including VSO and UK rapper and TV personality Big Narstie. He's also keen on developing talent within the industry. He worked on an initial schools program he co-founded, enabling school children between the ages of 6-11 to make films from idea to a finished film played at their school. Guest speakers included Jonathan Glazer (Dir: Sexy Beast, Under My Skin).
