Jimmie Roberts III is an army Veteran, member of the Wounded Warrior Organization, and a recipient of the 2015 Presidential Volunteer Award. After 2 knee surgeries that ended his military career, he began working as a battalion videographer and photographer. Jimmie received multiple awards for his extraordinary work. He wanted to continue serving his community by educating and inspiring though film. Jimmie completed his undergrad and master’s degree in film. He has been working diligently on a number of projects ranging from commercials, music videos, narrative shorts and live entertainment. Jimmie was selected as an intern with the American Pavilion at the Cannes Film Festival, working as a videographer. He secured a position as Director of Photography on two narrative short films directed by Jenn Shaw, whose most recent film was produced by Spike Lee. Jimmie believes that the key to solving social commentary issues is education and awareness via filmmaking.
