Kali Baker-Johnson is a New Jersey-born/Brooklyn-based filmmaker, comic book writer, and professor. His debut feature, FEEL LIKE GHOSTS, won Best Director and Best Screenplay at the 2022 American Black Film Festival. His screenwriting has been recognized by the Academy Nicholl Fellowships, the Sundance Institute and the Austin Film Festival. He previously worked in development under Oscar-winning producers Ron Yerxa and Albert Berger. His films have screened in festivals internationally, as well as in centers for domestic abuse and at-risk youth. He used to be able to dunk and, every once in a while, he still has a good day on the basketball court.
