Kamilah Saddon Thurmon

Kamilah Saddon Thurmon is an Emmy-nominated Producer and storyteller with nearly two decades experience. She has worked in various producer capacities for NBC, HGTV, BET, MTV, VH-1, Bravo, Lifetime, and Oxygen. Kamilah's passion lies in creating content that inspires and uplifts people from all walks of life, whether through popular television shows or legacy documentaries through her business, Gen2Gen Media. As a HumanitiesDC and Library of Congress grant recipient, as well as a DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities fellow, Kamilah is dedicated to developing and producing stories that are often untold. She seeks to highlight and preserve the voices and experiences that are typically overlooked, ensuring their legacies are shared and celebrated. In September 2020, Kamilah was recognized by the District of Columbia Office of Cable Television, Film, Music, and Entertainment (OCTFME) as the Filmmaker of the Month.
