Manon de Reeper

After making her mark on film journalism as founder and Editor-in-Chief of film magazine Film Inquiry, Manon de Reeper moved into the filmmaking space as a horror writer/director/producer. Her directorial debut, psychological horror short film Uncontrol, was shot during the COVID-19 pandemic. Over the course of 2021, the film was accepted into the largest film festival of the Caribbean, the Trinidad & Tobago Film Festival, into Austin After Dark, and many other festivals. She is co-author of the forthcoming ANIMUS graphic novel series, headed by Star Trek: Discovery and Locke & Key showrunner Aron Eli Coleite, to be published by Aftershock Comics. Her involvement with Hollywood non-profit production company and social action organization Women of Color Unite as its Vice President, and architect of its revolutionary mentorship program #Startwith8 has allowed her to develop an extraordinary network. Manon was born and raised in The Netherlands and is a lifelong nomad. She has lived on three continents and currently lives on a sailboat, somewhere in the world.
