Martina Lee has been an artist most of her life. She began her love for films while attending Maryland Institute College of Art in 2004 with a Bachelor of Fine Art in Photography and a minor in video. Prior to attending graduate school Martina spent eight years working in traditional office environments. It was during this time she worked on her first film set as a production manager. It wasn’t until 2013 when she decided to pursue her passion for film. She spent a year at New York University Tisch Asia School of the Arts in Singapore. It was there where she found her pasion for directing and began her journey to finding her artistic voice. She moved to Los Angeles in 2015 to attend University of Southern California. While developing her craft at USC, she was awarded the prestigious Annenberg Fellowship in 2016 and again in 2017. During the spring 2016 she interned with White Horse Pictures, providing support in production planning on Emmy winning documentary The Beatles: Eight Days a Week, directed by Ron Howard. While the internship taught her about what it is like to work at a production company, the production classes at USC help her to understand the importance of communication and collaboration. Martina always knew she wanted to be a director, however, producing four USC Thesis film productions during her time at school ignited her passion to become creative collaborator and producer. Martina is now working full-time at White Horse Pictures as a creative coordinator while her thesis film, Blueberry is making its rounds in festivals. She also has been accepted as a 2019 Project Involve Follow directing her next short film with Film Independent.
