SANDRA DICKSON, CHURCHILL ROBERTS, CINDY HILL and CARA PILSON have co-produced and written several documentaries for national distribution on PBS. The critically acclaimed Negroes with Guns: Rob Williams and Black Power, aired in 2006 on the PBS series Independent Lens and won the Erik Barnouw Award for Outstanding Historical Documentary. Negroes with Guns also won the Audience Award at the 2004 Detroit Docs and was named Best Documentary Feature at the 2004 UrbanWorld Film Festival. Freedom Never Dies: The Legacy of Harry T. Moore, also won the Barnouw Award. Other documentaries include Giving Up the Canal, Campaign for Cuba, Last Days of the Revolution and Deciding Who Dies, all of which were distributed nationally and internationally. The team also produced The Last Flight of Petr Ginz, which was supported in part by the National Endowment for the Arts. The film screened in more than 40 countries and is available in seven languages.
