Shannon M. Sutherland is a storyteller whose narratives typically follow Black female protagonists in horror/fantasy genres. Her stories frequently explore grief, loneliness, and the Black female experience through magical realist means. She recently graduated from Florida State University College of Motion Picture Arts with a master’s in production, directing specialty. She is continuing her career as a filmmaker in Brooklyn, New York.
