Black Californian teenager Nastasya Generalova, raised by her single Russian mother, Olga, has trained in rhythmic gymnastics since age four as a link to her mother’s homeland. As the only Black girl on Team USA, she navigates identity, expression, and belonging while preparing for the high-pressure Tokyo Olympic qualifiers. The film offers an intimate look at her bond with her mother and what it feels like to be the only Black girl in the room.
