While The Matumbilas were walking around Downtown Hopeland, they got distracted by a random protest. This protest is led by a locally known community organizer, who also chases clout named 'Devonté'. Amina is infatuated by his moving speech for the town's historical basket. Amina's father, Hashim, feels uneasy about the whole situation. Meanwhile Amina's mother, Zainat, looks at this as a perfect opportunity to help her daughter transition to traditional womanhood.
