Jada and her three closest friends/roommates (Tyrell, Crystal, and Moné) are trying to live their best lives in the Big Apple while navigating the kinks and twists that come with black hair – especially natural hair. Tyrell, Jada's best friend and self-proclaimed 'personal stylist', is moving out, and to his three roommates' disbelief, his replacement is Madison, a sheltered redhead from Kansas! Things get quite tangled as Madison encounters her first pile of weave in the bathroom and runs out screaming bloody murder!
